Competing online simply meant establishing a first class digital footprint. New players are coming to the scene and it gets harder to tell the difference between Snapchat and Instagram and they are paying just to compete for a few seconds of their audience’s attention.
Social media is a constantly changing every day and yesterday’s rules won’t necessarily work tomorrow. I asked digitally savvy folks to share successful stories on how they boosted sales, increased number of likes and followers on social media.

I have a few case studies I shared previously:
One of the fashion business was limited with followers and social media engagement and they didn’t have blog set-up. To improve their social presence, we started creating interesting content for their blog, monthly beauty?contests and moved to paid FB campaigns.
In addition to above, the newsletter we used to send to subscribers and abandoned cart users, Client started keeping links in it – and the cumulative result was: 19% increase in sales from SMO channels and 36.5% increase in traffic.

I find that so much of social media exposure rests in the image. While this is critical to increase blog post shares, it is even more important for non-content pages.? After all, without a really good image, why would anybody share your home page or your product page.
My strategy is to include useful mini-infographics on each product page.? This is a slow-burn process, adding one each month to build a natural, long-term promotion strategy. An example of this is at http://thgmwriters.com/writing/fiction-writers/#ig1 (in-page anchor, direct to the image).
